Bad Produces Good

I am told I am a “Pollyanna.” I see good in everything. I don’t remember pain or bad times.

Still standing and all in one piece after the storm

But sometimes I think how bad times produces good stuff!

Like the week-long power outage we are still getting over:

We lost everything in our refrigerator and freezer, so we had to go supermarket shopping again.

Even the flag survived the storm

We did not have water so we had to go to a hotel for a week.

We had to prepare to commute to a hotel and come home occasionally to check things out, so we had to fill up our gas tank much more often than normal.

We had to hire people to come clean up the debris around the yard, take down trees that had been damaged beyond saving.

Grinding out felled pine tree roots

Now we have to plan and plant new areas of the garden that were opened up by the loss of trees or that were destroyed by the storms.

All of this multiplied by many people and homes has HAD to bump the economy UP!

Did you suffer damage? Did you bump up the economy?
